Graves Announces Additional AIP Aviation Funds for Louisiana’s 6th Congressional District

U.S. Congressman Garret Graves, the Ranking Member of the U.S. House Subcommittee on Aviation, announced that Louisiana Regional Airport will receive $45,000 in federal funding. The funds, provided through the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP), were awarded through a supplemental funding opportunity. The funds are broken down below:
Louisiana Regional Airport:
These federal funds are part of the same $12 million AIP allotment Graves announced on April 24, 2020 that were awarded to the Baton Rouge Metropolitan (BTR) and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY) airports. Previously, Graves had announced a $1.176 million federal grant to help pay for runway improvements at the Louisiana Regional Airport facility. |
