U.S. Congressman Garret Graves (South Louisiana) issued the following statement and video message today after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 748, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act:

"Congress just passed unanimously a much-needed shot in the arm, providing support for our health care workers, families and job creators in Louisiana – the lifeline of our local economies and communities.

"This is a time for all Americans to continue working together to meet the challenge that is at everyone's doorstep. Whether it is helping neighbors and community members, loved ones that are sick, our seniors get groceries and food delivered, or the health care workers getting masks and PPE – that is what we need to be doing. This virus does not discriminate. It is an American public health emergency.

"We are going to continue working to provide resources to the people that need it."
