Graves Joins Baker High School Leadership and Community for Groundbreaking Ceremony

BAKER, LA – U.S. Congressman Garret Graves joined Baker High School leadership, teachers, students and families today for their new campus' groundbreaking ceremony. Baker High School was one of several schools damaged during the 2016 Flood and it took years – until March 2022 – to get federal flood recovery resources. Years of work between Graves' office, Baker High School officials, and FEMA resulted in FEMA's re-evaluation of additional costs identified by the school which led to the additional $1,272,753.90 in federal funding to repair and replace structures damaged by the 2016 Flood.
