Graves Visits NATO Allies, Ukrainian Border, And Highlights Louisiana’s Energy Potential

U.S. Congressman Garret Graves just traveled with U.S. House leadership to Eastern Europe, where he met with elected officials of several North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries and promoted Louisiana's ability to fuel the world.

"I joined House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer in a bipartisan congressional delegation trip to meet with European leaders, Ukrainian refugees, Louisiana citizens in the 82nd Airborne, German Chancellor Scholz and others. We pushed our allies to cut off their dependence on Russian energy and buy American oil and gas. It makes no sense to fund Putin's war on one hand and then provide assistance to the Ukrainian military on the other," Graves said. "President Biden needs to open up American energy production, approve our export terminals, and stop negotiating with Iran and Venezuela to import their oil. We can decrease energy prices here and increase economic opportunity in Louisiana."
