U.S. Congressman Garret Graves (South Louisiana) introduced the Advanced Air Mobility Coordination and Leadership Act (H.R. 1339) with Representative Sharice Davids (Kansas) to bolster the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem in the United States. The legislation aims to develop new transportation options, move goods, amplify economic activity and jobs, advance environmental sustainability and new technologies, and support emergency preparedness and competitiveness.

"This AAM conversation builds on top of the transportation and infrastructure all-of-the-above strategy we are pushing for. This means not just in aviation systems, but everything from space exploration to traditional surface transportation methods such as roads, highways and transit. Whether it's a FAST Act grant to raise a local road or landing a rover on Mars, all strides we make matter in the bigger picture of moving the United States further along," Graves said. "And while the new AAM sector is attractive and promising, the new challenge is making sure we invest now in the educational foundation so there are qualified individuals ready to fill the positions when the time is right. Following the bill's introduction, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced they would be establishing an Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Integration Executive Council to provide further support for enabling a new generation aviation sector.
