Graves' “Picture the Parish” Contest Photographs on Display in Louisiana 6th Congressional District Offices

THIBODAUX, LA – Earlier this spring, U.S. Congressman Garret Graves announced the first-ever "Picture the Parish" competition for Louisiana's 6th Congressional District constituents. Graves' office invited constituents to enter their original photographs showcasing the culture, people, music, flavors, and overall essence of the area.

Award

Above, Graves joined Lafourche Parish President Archie Chaisson and Thibodaux Mayor Tommy Eschete today to congratulate Richard Robichaux of Thibodaux who was the selected Picture the Parish Winner for Lafourche Parish.

Below is Robichaux's photo of sugarcane farming, which will be hung in Chaisson and Eschete's offices at Lafourche Parish Office and Thibodaux City Hall.

Winner

The winners' artwork will also be displayed at Congressman Graves' District Offices and Washington D.C. Office throughout the 117th Congress (until December 2022) then provided to the winners. See below for examples from the Washington, D.C. Office.
