Graves Defends Israeli Leader's SpeechGraves Defends Israeli leader's speech: On the Hill

Congressman Garret Graves joined other memebers of Louisiana's Congressional Delegation and defended the right of Congress to invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak in a comment last week. "The president is welcome to invite whomever he wishes to a meeting at the White House. Congress can invite whomever we wish for a joint session. The U.S. Constitution establishes separate but equal branches. This is a concept that the president struggles with." Graves said, "Ideally, the president and Congress would be on the same page in regard to the importance of our strategic relationship with Israel." Read the full article here. |
