Graves Announces HUD Guidance on DOB

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Garret Graves (R-Baton Rouge) today announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) have issued the long-awaited "guidance document" with instructions for the state to implement changes to Duplication of Benefits prohibitions.
The fix, which was originally introduced in Congress by Reps. Graves and Richmond, and which passed the House three times before the Senate took action on it, was finally signed into law by President Trump in October 2018.
“Long overdue doesn’t even begin to describe this announcement. However, the fix is in, the guidance is in the books and Louisiana now has a path forward to provide the relief that our flood victims deserve,” said Graves.
You can read that guidance here.
Graves expects to announce further information about the content of the guidance over the coming days.
