The Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) of Louisiana is excited to announce that it will honor U.S. Representative Garret Graves with the 2016 Jerry Stone Conservationist of the Year.  The award, to be presented during the CCA Louisiana State Convention on February 26, is the highest conservation award given by the organization each year.

Garret Graves addressed the Rotary Club of North Ascension at noon on Wednesday at Sammy’s Grill focusing mostly on traffic in the Baton Rouge metropolitan area he represents that is nearing a population of one million people and includes Ascension Parish which has added 70,000 new residents in the past 35 years.

This week, he commented on the Supreme Court’s action to slow President Obama’s executive actions on climate change through and interpretation of the Clean Air Act.
