Graves on CRISIS’ Report: “We need to start turning dirt yesterday."
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Garret Graves released the following statement today after CRISIS, the Capital Region’s business-led coalition for transportation improvements, released a report prioritizing four major transportation infrastructure projects to alleviate the area’s chronic gridlock:
"CRISIS has stepped in where government has historically failed. This study reconfirms what drivers have known for years. These and other important short, mid and long-term projects should have been constructed years or even decades ago. Just over a month ago, we passed a long-term transportation bill that provides billions of dollars to implement these and other priority projects to help get traffic under control. We need to start turning dirt yesterday"
